A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The group of troops "Center" liberated the settlement of Novopavlovka in the DPR. In addition, the Dnepr group of troops, as a result of active actions, liberated the village of Pavlovka in the Zaporizhia region.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Mechanized personnel and equipment, two assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Tsvetkovo, Komsomolskoye, Vozdvizhevka, Verkhnyaya Tersa and Ternovatoye of the Zaporizhia region. The enemy lost over 270 soldiers, a tank, four armored combat vehicles, 21 vehicles and three field artillery pieces. An ammunition depot has been destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated long-range drone launch sites, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 152 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down 12 guided aerial bombs, two guided long-range Neptune missiles and 122 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 109,900 UAVs, 646 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,207 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,643 multiple launch rocket launchers, 32,681 field artillery guns and mortars, 52,258 pieces of special vehicles.
