On January 19, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade showed a fully import-substituted Superjet 100 (SJ-100) short-range aircraft, assembled using serial technology.

New headrests are installed on the passenger seats for added comfort. The main panels and shelves of the interior are manufactured by the Kazan company Aviation Interiors, and the chairs are manufactured by the Aerospace Systems Design Bureau near Moscow.

"The shelves made of durable and lightweight material are monolithic, there is no rattling," said Vladislav Tyurin, Senior Flight test Engineer at Yakovlev PJSC.

This aircraft will be presented at the Wings India 2026 international exhibition at the end of January.

On September 5 last year, Rostec's press service announced that the first SJ-100 aircraft, assembled using serial technologies, made its maiden flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The aircraft was built by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) using new domestic systems and assemblies as part of an import substitution program. Special attention was paid to the installation of Russian PD-8 engines manufactured by the United Engine Corporation (UEC).

On November 7, the SJ-100 successfully completed tests to protect Russian PD-8 engines from water ingress. It was noted that this type of test is one of the most important, since take-off and landing of the aircraft can be carried out, including during rain.
