Nikita Kucherov, the Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey Club, scored 70 points for the season in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match with the Dallas Stars. The match took place on January 18 and ended with a 4-1 victory for Tampa.

Kucherov made an assist on the puck, which was scored by striker Brandon Hagel in the 32nd minute, becoming the first Russian in the season to reach 70 points. Dominic James (9), Jake Gunzel (39) and Pontus Holmberg (58) also scored for the winners. Oscar Beck scored for Dallas (5).

Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov took the second place among the Russian scorers of the current NHL season, with 55 (25+30) points, and New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin took the third place with 54 (18+36) points.
