Skier Korostelev finished fifth in the 10 km race at the World Cup

On January 18, Russian skier Savely Korostelev took fifth place in the 10 km classical style split start race at the World Cup in Oberhof, Germany.

The Russian athlete covered the distance in 21 minutes and 33.3 seconds. The victory was won by Norwegian Martin Nuenget with a score of 21 minutes 9.1 seconds. Finnish skier Iivo Niskanen took second place (+13.8 seconds), Norwegian Eric Valnes took third (+14.5).

The World Cup stage in Oberhof will end on January 18.

On December 29 last year, Korostelev took ninth place in the 10 km classic style race at the World Cup stage as part of the multi-day Tour de Ski in Toblach, Italy. This is the first time in an athlete's career to reach the top 10 at the World Cup. It was clarified that the athlete is a two-time world junior champion and a two-time Russian champion.
