The price of butter in Russia fell by almost 36 rubles at the beginning of the year
Butter has become the product whose price in Russia has decreased the most compared to last year. This was announced on January 18 by Evgenia Trautman, an expert at the analytical credit rating agency (ACRA).
"Butter fell most noticeably among food products in absolute terms per 1 kg — the reduction in price was almost 36 rubles, or almost 3%," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
According to the expert, in the second week of January, chicken eggs and cucumbers also fell significantly in price — by 25 and 23 rubles, respectively. In total, prices in the consumer basket decreased by 15 items. In addition to those listed, tomatoes, cabbage, bananas, potatoes, onions, lamb, beets, rice, sugar, buckwheat, carrots and wheat have become cheaper.
On December 30 last year, it was reported that one caviar sandwich would cost Russians 656 rubles. It was specified that the total cost of ingredients for making a sandwich in retail trade will be 13,023 rubles.
