Russian skier Savely Korostelev showed the fifth result in the race with a separate start at a distance of 10 km in the classic style at the World Cup. The competition was held on January 18 in the German city of Oberhof.
Korostelev managed to cover a distance of 10 km in 21 minutes and 23.6 seconds. The Norwegian Martin Nuenget took the first place. His result is 21 minutes 9.1 seconds, added Sport-Express.
Finland's Iivo Niskanen took second place (+13.8 seconds), while Norway's Erik Valnes came in third (+14.5).
The 22-year-old Russian is a two-time world junior champion. He also holds the title of two-time champion of Russia and multiple winner of the national championships.
On the same day, Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova, ranked 11th in the WTA Women's Tennis Association world rankings, failed to overcome the first round of the 2026 Australian Open.
