Russia plans to change the requirements for garden plots
In 2026, the Russian government plans to clarify the requirements for land plots that fall within the boundaries of horticultural non-profit partnerships (SNTS), as well as simplify the procedure for registering rights to the common property of such associations. Information about this on January 18 follows from the documents of the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to the data reviewed by RIA Novosti, the amendments will clarify the rules for including land plots within the boundaries of the gardening territory. According to current legislation, they are prohibited from including land owned by persons who are not founders of the partnership, with the exception of state or municipal land. The new draft retains this prohibition for newly created territories, but allows such plots to be included in the boundaries of existing farming co-ops with the consent of their owners.
