Residents of Kiev began to bask around campfires, burning discarded Christmas trees, due to days of power outages. This was reported on January 18 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

"People are warming themselves around a campfire of discarded Christmas trees," the Telegram channel says.

A similar way to keep warm is also used by residents of Teremki, adds "Газета.Ru ".

In Ukraine, on January 13, they reported an almost complete blackout in Kiev. It was noted that all subgroups of residents at that time had no light either partially or completely.

On the same day, it became known that residents of Kiev and its region are actively buying bread and other basic necessities, fearing the closure of shops due to prolonged power outages.

On January 9, the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, urged residents to leave the city for a while, as many houses lacked heat and water.
