Eight people were injured in the explosion of a gas cylinder in the Stavropol Territory.

A gas cylinder exploded in a roadside cafe in the Kochubeyevsky municipal District of the Stavropol Territory, injuring eight people. This was announced on January 17 by the head of the district Oleg Borzov.

"According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was the explosion of a gas cylinder. As a result of the incident, eight people were injured, including three minors. All the injured received medical assistance, they were taken to medical institutions," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Borzov said that the incident occurred on the territory along the Kavkaz highway. Fire brigades and other specialized services are working on site. The fire has been extinguished, the details of the incident are being clarified.
