Prince William of Wales was banned from riding an electric scooter on the territory of his new permanent residence in Windsor Great Park. This was reported on January 17 by the Daily Mail (DM).

The publication recalls that in 2025, William and his wife Kate moved into the Forest Lodge mansion, located on a vast estate in Berkshire after they left their former residence, Adelaide Cottage.

The rules of the royal park state that electric scooters, which Prince William likes to ride, are "not allowed" in the park "for safety reasons and to regulate traffic."

"William really liked to move around the castle on an electric scooter, because then there was no ban," said a DM source.

According to the newspaper, the prince is known for his love of the environment and often uses an "ecological mode of transport."

At the end of December last year, it was reported that London police had detained 39-year—old Derek Egan, who had entered the grounds of Kensington Palace, the residence of Prince William and his wife Catherine. The man was detained twice in a row — on December 21 and 23 — in the gardens of the palace by officers of the special unit of Scotland Yard responsible for the security of the royal family. After the first arrest, the man was released on bail.
