Marina Vladi handed over Vysotsky's love letters to Rosarchiv
French actress Marina Vladi handed over to Rosarchiv her love correspondence with poet and actor Vladimir Vysotsky on condition that the documents not be published during her lifetime. This was announced on January 17 by the head of the Federal Archival Agency Andrey Artizov.
"At one time, Marina Vladi handed over documents related to the life of Vladimir Vysotsky. She asked during her lifetime not to publish and not to allow anyone to her love correspondence with him. Of course, we follow this, we respect her will," Artizov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Artizov stressed that this rule applies to the so-called right to privacy. Marina Vladi was the wife of Vladimir Vysotsky in the period from 1970 to 1980.
In October last year, it was reported that Vladimir Vysotsky's posthumous bronze mask, cast in 1980, would be sold at auction in Monaco. The original plaster mask was made by Soviet sculptor Yuri Vasiliev, who also created an impression of Vysotsky's left hand.
