The Venezuelan Defense Minister announced 83 deaths during the operation to capture Maduro.

Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez said on January 16 that 83 people were killed during the US operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Celia Flores.

"In the midst of this aggression, civilians and fellow human beings died. As you know, 32 comrades from Cuba who were with us killed a total of 83 people, and more than 112 were injured," he said in an interview with Primicia.
