Russian developers will show Russian President Vladimir Putin a space broadband communication system for controlling drones outside the access zones of terrestrial networks. This was announced on January 16 by Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of Roscosmos.

"Today we will show the president [Vladimir Putin] broadband connectivity. So that the signal can be transmitted to unmanned aircraft outside the coverage areas of terrestrial networks," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

He clarified that Putin will also be shown the remote sensing spacecraft "Zorky". It is noted that it can be used to conduct cartography.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that the Russian orbital constellation had increased from 288 to 300 satellites in 2025. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, revenue growth in the space industry amounted to 10% last year, which had a positive impact on the Roscosmos state corporation, in particular, the average salary of the organization's employees increased, as well as labor productivity.
