Glavgosexpertiza has approved a major repair project for the Ust-Kut airfield in the Irkutsk region. This is reported by the FSUE "Administration of Civil Airports (airfields)".

The overhaul project provides for the renovation of the runway, taxiway, apron and low-intensity lighting system. In total, the work will take place on almost 153 thousand square meters of airfield surfaces.

Construction work is scheduled to begin in 2026 after competitive procedures have been conducted and a contract has been concluded with the contractor. He is due to complete the renovation of the airfield in 2028.

According to IA IrkutskMedia, the overhaul project was developed as part of the implementation of the relevant plan approved by the Federal Air Transport Agency.
