In Ust-Barguzin (Republic of Buryatia), a woman died and a man was injured as a result of a fire in a private apartment building. This is reported by the republican agency of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations.

The fire occurred on the night of Friday, January 16, in the village of Ust-Barguzin. Even before rescuers arrived, a 67-year-old man evacuated from a burning house. He suffered first-degree burns to his head and arm and was taken to the hospital.

During the firefighting, firefighters found the body of a 68-year-old woman in the bedroom with no signs of life. The fire area was 30 square meters, UlanMedia clarifies.

On the night of January 12, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky in the Irkutsk region. A 29-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were killed.
