Fraudsters, disguising themselves as employees of the Ministry of Finance, offer Russians to check their personal accounts on the Gosuslugi website. This follows from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which were reviewed by RIA Novosti on January 16.

It is clarified that the scammers operate according to the following scheme: first, they send emails, ostensibly on behalf of the department, informing about the registration of a power of attorney to an unknown person. Then the victim receives a call from a person posing as an employee of the ministry and insists on conducting a diagnosis of the Gosuslug account.

If the victim refuses to communicate, they begin to attack her with mass messages and calls from various stores, banks and other organizations.

On January 10, Angara Security reported that fraudsters began to massively steal Russian accounts on the Gosuslugi portal, using the topic of major repairs and new rules for communication between management companies and residents as a cover..
