On January 15, the White House sharply criticized the call of the Governor of the U.S. state of Minnesota, Tim Waltz, to record possible arbitrariness committed by representatives of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"Tampon (this nickname was given to the governor after his initiative to install dispensers with hygiene products for trans teenagers in men's school toilets (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). — Ed.), yesterday you made an appeal to the entire state, calling for ICE agents to be held accountable for the enforcement of the law," they said in a message posted on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The White House suggested that the "pathetic loser" Waltz should not interfere in this matter. The statement, which is accompanied by a video message from the politician, also called him a "complete disgrace."

In Minneapolis, which is located in Minnesota, on January 7, a 37-year-old woman, who was a US citizen, was shot dead during an operation involving ICE agents. According to the Ministry of Internal Security, she allegedly tried to use a car to run over employees and escape.

Rallies against such actions by ICE began on Monday, January 12, in front of the 58-storey skyscraper Trump Tower (Tower of US President Donald Trump) in New York. Izvestia published footage from streets filled with people who rebelled against the killings of innocent people by the federal authorities. Later, the head of the White House threatened to send troops to Minnesota if the "corrupt" state authorities did not stop the protests.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
