Last year, specialists from the Moscow City Management complex repaired 55 bridge structures, which is a record figure. This was announced on Thursday, January 15, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

According to him, all bridges are regularly inspected, and, if necessary, decisions are made on current or major repairs. Among the updated facilities are the Kutuzovskaya interchange, Rostokinsky Aqueduct and an overpass on Dmitrovskoye Highway beyond the MKAD, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

He specified that 46 structures were undergoing routine repairs: expansion joints and waterproofing were replaced, fences, protective screens, facade elements and equipment were updated. In particular, the largest amount of work was carried out on the Crimean highway Bridge to replace expansion joints — more than a thousand linear meters.

In addition, three pedestrian bridges in the Serebryany Bor Park and the Rostokinsky Aqueduct, an object of cultural heritage of federal significance, were overhauled, restoring its historical appearance. Capital works have also been completed on five more bridge structures, Moscow 24 writes.

Biryukov noted that since 2011, all engineering structures in the capital have undergone various types of repairs, which has made it possible to extend their safe operation and improve traffic conditions for motorists and pedestrians.
