Russia will consistently move towards its goals until Kiev demonstrates its readiness to resolve the conflict. This was announced on January 15 by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the ceremony of presenting credentials to new foreign ambassadors in the Kremlin.

"Russia will continue to consistently achieve its goals," Putin said.

He also stressed that Russia is striving for a long-term and sustainable peace that "reliably ensures the security of everyone.",

According to him, the Ukrainian crisis is a direct consequence of ignoring Russia's interests. Putin clarified that Russia has repeatedly taken initiatives on European global security. The Kremlin offered solutions that "could suit everyone — in America, Europe, Asia, all over the world," the president added.
