The first ice crossing was opened in the Kamchatka Territory
The first ice crossing of the season has started operating in the Kamchatka Territory. It connected the villages of Korf and Tilichiki through a Hidden bay in the Olyutorsky district.
According to the KamchatkaMedia news agency, the thickness of ice on a winter road reaches 55-60 cm. Vehicles weighing up to 7 tons can pass.
The ferry has the necessary life-saving equipment, including safety ropes. There are billboards with driving rules and road signs along the road.
Crossings are expected to open in the Milkovsky district, Penzhinsky district, and Tigilsky district in the near future.
In Yakutia, the carrying capacity of the crossing between the villages of Ulakhan-An and Sinsk along the Umnas highway was increased this week. Vehicles weighing up to 10 tons can pass.
