A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical position and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost more than 240 people, an armored combat vehicle, 25 vehicles, three field artillery guns, two electronic warfare (EW) stations and two material depots.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also hit Ukrainian units in the settlements of the Kharkiv region and the DPR. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 190 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, including two M113 armored personnel carriers made in the USA, 28 vehicles and an artillery piece. Two electronic warfare stations, a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station and two ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops improved the situation along the front line and hit enemy equipment and manpower in a number of DPR settlements. The enemy lost over 185 fighters, two tanks, and six armored combat vehicles, four of them foreign-made. 13 vehicles, six field artillery guns, including two 155-mm Paladin self-propelled artillery units made in the USA, an electronic warfare station, an ammunition depot and a material depot were destroyed.

The group of troops "Center" has improved the tactical situation. The enemy was defeated in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 400 people, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, two field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station.

The units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated the Ukrainian formations in the settlements of the Zaporizhia region. The enemy's losses amounted to 245 soldiers, seven armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles and three artillery pieces, two of them Western-made.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the mountain assault brigade, the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Orekhov, Malokaterinovka of the Zaporizhia region and Antonovka of the Kherson region. Up to 50 Ukrainian militants, an armored combat vehicle, 11 vehicles, an electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as command posts and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 162 areas.

Air defense systems shot down five guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket, two Neptune long-range guided missiles and 265 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 109,190 unmanned aerial vehicles, 645 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,140 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,641 multiple rocket launchers, 32596 field artillery and mortars, 51,877 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
