The calculation of the Lightning-2 attack UAV destroyed the AFU drone control center

The calculation of the Lightning-2 strike unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Guards artillery unit of the Airborne Troops (Airborne Forces) of the Dnepr group of forces eliminated the control point of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orekhovsky direction in the Zaporozhye region. This was announced on January 15 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"We are watching the broadcast of intelligence units that conduct reconnaissance. When some targets are detected, the crew moves to the firing position, I give them the command. I go to the control room myself, turn on my work tablet and plot a route, plot a route, give the azimuth, directly give the sapper the type of ammunition that he will install on the Lightning," said the deputy platoon commander with the call sign Groza.

According to the agency, the operator of a reconnaissance UAV discovered the take-off site of an enemy drone during reconnaissance in the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After additional reconnaissance, an enemy drone control point was identified in a forest plantation. The UAV strike crew moved to a pre-prepared position and began work. It is noted that the destruction of the target was recorded on the footage of objective control.

"I have everything ready, I just receive a command that, what is the target, <...> a UAV there, a dugout, or there, a combat vehicle. That's it, and for that <...> I'm choosing a combat unit. High-explosive fragmentation, cumulative, we are using it now, well, it all depends again on what the purpose is," said a sapper technician with the call sign Agronomist.

Despite the difficult working conditions and the active opposition of enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems, the calculations of the Molniya-2 UAV continue to inflict fire damage on the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and successfully carry out combat missions to destroy the enemy.
