Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the operation of the first flagship ski trail in the 850th Anniversary of Moscow Park.

According to him, the route is about 13 km long and is equipped with artificial snowmaking and lighting, which allows you to not depend on the weather and ride in the evening. The track has warm changing rooms, rental, catering facilities, navigation, start and finish areas and a biathlon shooting range, and in summer it is used for roller skis and roller skates, the Moscow City News agency reported on Wednesday, January 14.

Sobyanin noted that the track welcomes more than 6.3 thousand people a week, trainings, classes for schoolchildren, students and participants of the Moscow Longevity are held here, as well as mass starts and competitions are planned. He added that by 2030, the capital plans to create a network of flagship ski trails in different parts of the city, as well as develop district and district routes according to uniform standards, writes Moscow 24.
