On January 13, US President Donald Trump, speaking at the Detroit Economic Club, said he was not going to discuss measures of potential impact on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"Why should I tell you this? Why? I don't discuss military strategy with journalists, do you understand?" he replied to one of the media representatives.

In addition, the head of the White House announced a report on the issue, which should be held "soon."

On January 2, Trump announced that his state was ready to help the demonstrators. Later, it became known about the seizure of two cities in western Iran by protesters, and The Times newspaper found out a day earlier that Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei had developed an evacuation plan from Tehran in case the authorities could not suppress the protests.

On January 13, the American leader called on the citizens of his state and allies to leave the territory of Iran. The same day earlier, he had asked the protesters to seize government offices in the republic. He added that he had canceled all previously scheduled contacts with the Iranian authorities "until the senseless killing of protesters stops." The American president also promised that help for the protesters was "on the way."
