Manchester United FC has signed a deal with former Middlesbrough coach Michael Carrick, who will temporarily lead the Premier League team until the end of the season. This was confirmed on January 13 by a press release posted on the club's website.

"Carrick played 464 games for the club, winning five Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the FIFA Club World Cup," the publication says.
