Adverse weather events are expected in the Irkutsk region on Wednesday, January 14. Heavy snow and snowstorms are possible in some places in the central and southern regions.

In the north-east of the region, as well as in the Katanga and Kiren districts, temperatures can drop to -45...-50 degrees at night.

In the western, central and southern regions, wind gusts will reach 18 m/s, writes IA IrkutskMedia with reference to the Irkutsk Hydrometeorological Center.

In the southern, central regions and in the mountains of Eastern Sayan, the temperature will drop to -27 degrees at night, and -20 degrees during the day.
