A case has been opened into the fatal injury of two railway workers in the Moscow region. This was announced on January 13 by the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (MCT) of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of labor protection requirements that negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons")," the agency's Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, on the evening of January 12, at the Krivandino station of the Kazan direction in the Shatura city district, two workers were injured by an electric train when they were removing snow from the tracks. It is specified that the men received injuries incompatible with life.

In November 2025, a worker in the Losino-Petrovsky urban district died in the Moscow Region. According to preliminary data, a 21-year-old worker fell from a height of 12 floors during the laying of brick partitions of a house under construction in the village of the Biocombinat.
