150 thousand Belgee cars were produced in Belarus

The Belgee automobile plant in Belarus has reached the mark of 150 thousand produced cars of the local Belgee brand. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on January 13. This result was achieved in 2.5 years.

The anniversary model is the mid-size crossover X70 in the Style package with all-wheel drive, painted in metallic gray. The car is manufactured according to the specifications for the Russian market.

In August last year, the modernization was completed at the plant, which made it possible to increase production capacity from 60 thousand to 120 thousand cars per year. The company noted that the improvements were aimed at increasing the level of localization, improving quality, increasing production capacity to meet growing demand and introducing modern technologies. Some of the procedures that were previously performed manually have been switched to a fully robotic mode to eliminate the human error factor during operations.

Belgee produces three models designed for the Russian market: the compact crossover X50, the mid-size crossover Belgee X70 and the sedan S50. The company also produces some automotive components, including front and rear bumpers. Related suppliers in Belarus and Russia are engaged in the production of rechargeable batteries, front fender sound insulation elements, glasses, an organizer for tools, standard emergency call devices, rims and tires. An increase in the list of local components in 2026 is being discussed, the company added.

In early December last year, it became known that Geely had withdrawn the Emgrand sedan from sale in Russia, and the model was dropped from the line on the brand's official website. The Belgee S50 has taken the place of Geely Emgrand in the Russian market.
