The authors of the popular science film "Where does the Soul Live?" from the series "Scientifically about the Unscientific" have tried to do what no one has been able to do so far - to look at the soul through the eyes of scientists and answer the question: "Where does it live?"

For centuries, people have been searching for the soul in the heart and in the brain, in the liver and in the blood — and the creators of the project have consistently checked all existing versions.

At the beginning of the 20th century, American biologist and physician Duncan McDougall claimed to have discovered evidence of the existence of the soul. The scientist weighed people right on their deathbed, and during the experiment he found out that after death people became lighter. The difference in the weight of the subjects ranged from 14 to 28 g.

In the film, leading Russian scientists will tell you what is known about the soul today. What sensational discoveries have already been made, and which ones are waiting ahead? Has it been possible to prove the existence of a soul? What does it represent and where does it go after the death of the physical body? And do animals and plants have souls?

The broadcast is on Sunday, at 23:55, immediately after the "Final program with Peter Marchenko".
