Traffic in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky suspended due to cyclone
The movement of vehicles carrying out passenger transportation on the territory of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was temporarily stopped due to the cyclone. This was announced on Tuesday, January 13, by the press service of the city administration.
"Due to the continued poor visibility on the roads, strong winds, and incessant precipitation, passenger traffic in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky has been completely stopped for today," the department said in a Telegram channel.
It also clarifies that information about the restoration of passenger traffic will appear later. The agency suggested that transportation may become available again from Wednesday, January 14.
Representatives of the government of the Kamchatka Territory reported on the same day that all flights were postponed in their region due to a powerful cyclone. Journalist Alexander Stepanenko, in an interview with Izvestia, said that at that time some motorists had already been captured by snow due to bad weather.
