The Russian Abyssinian cat, recognized as the most decorated in the world by the end of 2025 according to the World Cat Federation (WCF), has achieved success thanks to a unique training system and a strong domestic breeding school. Daria Gruzinova, the owner of the cat, told Izvestia about this on January 12.

"He and I started exhibiting with kittens, from the age of three months, and he was already showing quite decent results. <...> They (the cats participating in the exhibition. They go to exhibitions so that they understand that something is happening around them, that there are people, you need to play with them, you need to smile," the champion's hostess shared.

Gruzinova shared that the process of preparing a kitten for an exhibition career begins almost from birth. From the age of three months, animals are accustomed to the exhibition position, traveling in a car to adapt to transportation and visiting exhibitions.

According to the hostess, such methods of raising cats allow them to get used to noise, large crowds of people from childhood and learn how to demonstrate themselves in the ring. She noted that the Abyssinian breed is ideally suited for such a career due to its energy, human orientation and desire to interact.

She also said that titles are earned according to the strict WCF point system, which takes into account the score for the day, the place in the ring, the number of participants and the position in the finals. According to the hostess, Russian breeding technology has always been one of the strongest and most advanced in the world.

"If you look at the rating, there is more than one winner (from Russia. There are a lot of winners in different breeds, again from Russia. That is, felinology is very well represented <...> on all levels of the rating," added Marina Litvina, chairman of the Luxury Felinological club.
