Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro does not complain about the conditions of detention and intends to "stand to the end." This was announced on January 12 by Russian Ambassador to Caracas Sergey Melik-Baghdasarov.
"President Maduro's lawyers report that he is being held in normal conditions and does not complain about the conditions of detention. He confirms that he intends to stand firm to the end, he declared himself a prisoner of war by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela," he said on Channel One.
Melik-Baghdasarov noted that during the capture of the country's leader, there were no security guards next to him who could protect him by armed means.
