The FSB has stopped a major drug supply channel in the DPR
The Office of the Federal Security Service (FSB) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has stopped the activities of a criminal group that distributed drugs in the republic. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the DPR on January 13.
"25 Russian citizens who were involved in the supply, packaging and distribution of drugs by hiding bookmarks have been detained," the report says.
Searches were conducted at the addresses of the detainees, during which more than 50 kg of synthetic drugs were seized. It is noted that the group also promoted drug addiction among young people, while its supervision was carried out from the territory of Ukraine.
The FSB investigative unit opened criminal cases against the detainees under Part 3 of Articles 30 and Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime" and "Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs").
Employees of the North-Western Operational Customs on October 28 last year neutralized a drug laboratory in the Leningrad region. Customs officers found out that the bulk cargo from East Asia contained a precursor intended for the production of synthetic drugs.
