The Prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region began checking after an incident at a children's New Year's performance in Nizhny Tagil, where adult dancers in snow white costumes performed an explicit dance. This was announced on January 12 by Alexander Shulga, Senior assistant to the head of the Department of the SU IC of Russia for the region, Colonel of Justice.

"Upon the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk region is conducting a procedural check. During the inspection, measures are being taken to identify and interview eyewitnesses, and other measures are being taken to give the situation a proper legal assessment and to understand the situation. Based on the results of the audit, the Investigative Committee will make a procedural decision," Shulga said.

The reason for the check was a performance at a paid New Year's show, tickets for which were sold for 1 thousand rubles. According to Irina Chuvashova, a visitor to the event, dancers in miniskirts performed a defiant dance in snow maiden costumes, which shocked the audience, including the elderly and children. Some parents turned a blind eye to their children, and after everything that happened, they prepared a complaint to law enforcement agencies.

Irina Prokopyeva, one of the participants in the performance, commented on the situation and explained that she was not a member of the dance group and had been invited to replace the absent participant at the last moment.

"I go to private lessons. The choreographer asked me that they didn't have enough participants, and asked if I could help them out. My role was generally as minimal as possible — to pretend that I don't know how to dance," she said in an interview with Izvestia.

The dancer also noted that this was her first performance in such a number, and she did not see the audience's reaction, but she heard the applause on the recording.

"If I were the mother of a small child, I would bring him. I perfectly understand where I'm taking my child," the dancer noted. According to her, she does not see anything wrong with the room and trusted the organizers of the event.

Mikhail Lobukhin, the premier of the Bolshoi Theatre, was injured on October 19 last year while performing a part in the ballet Ivan the Terrible, which led to the announcement of an intermission in the performance. Then many viewers decided that the fall of the artist was only part of the production. At the same time, the rest of the ballet participants continued their performance.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
