The head coach of the Shanghai Dragons hockey club, Gerard Galland, may leave his post for health reasons, the Sport-Express newspaper reported on January 12.

The Canadian specialist joined the team in the summer of 2025. It is noted that after December 30, the coach missed Shanghai's matches against SKA (2:3), Metallurg (3:7), Lada (3:2), Amur (2:0), and CSKA (2:3).
