Lynx attacked a child at a sports camp near Ufa
A lynx attacked a child at the Ufa Sokol children's sports camp near Ufa. This was reported to Izvestia on January 12 at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
According to representatives of the center, the incident occurred on January 7, when a lynx entered the camp through the forest. They noted that a lynx attacked a 12-year-old girl, but could only scratch her hand. The organization added that "nothing global happened" as a result of the incident.
"The girl calmly returned to the building and about this (attack. — Ed.) was silent. Later, when they noticed a scratch on her arm, they asked, "Where from?" She said, "The cat scratched." Accordingly, the staff of the institution sounded the alarm, because they don't have a cat," said one of the employees of the Center.
Later, the animal was found. It is specified that the lynx behaved inappropriately, in particular, ate snow, then began to suffocate, and later died. According to unconfirmed information, the animal was suffering from a severe form of rabies. The child has already received medical attention and was given a rabies vaccine.
In October last year, dogs bit a 10-year-old boy to death in the Teremok SNT in the Berezovsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It was noted that a criminal case had been opened into the incident under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence resulting in the death of a person").
