80 tons of gasoline were spilled at an oil depot in the Murmansk region.
In Olenegorsk, Murmansk region, there was a spill of about 80 tons of gasoline on the territory of an oil depot. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"On the evening of January 11, 2026, the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Murmansk Region received information about a spill of petroleum products in the city of Olenegorsk. At 11 Promyshlennyy Proezd, on the territory of the oil depot, there was a leak in the pipeline connected to the gasoline tank. As a result, about 80 tons of AI-95 gasoline leaked out within the site," the report says.
According to the agency, the fuel supply was promptly stopped. The oil product is located in the trapping facilities.
Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that preparatory work was underway to pump out petroleum products and contaminated snow for further disposal. Personnel of the Ecospas environmental organization arrived at the scene to eliminate the spill.
