The German Arrow 3 air defense system would hardly have been able to intercept an Oreshnik missile or similar. This was reported on January 11 by Die Welt newspaper with reference to the NATO command.

"In NATO circles, in response to a question about the possible interception of the Hazel, they indicate that Arrow 3 so far has only the so—called initial readiness, that is, it has not yet been fully commissioned," the newspaper writes.

At the same time, it is noted that at the moment, instead of Arrow 3, the Dutch Patriot system operates, which is limited in its ability to withstand such missiles or is completely unable to shoot them down. According to Die Welt, the technical characteristics of the missile and the calculations of experts show that the Arrow 3 in its current state will not be able to effectively intercept such weapons, even if theoretically trying to do so.
