Simonyan stated the reason for the absence of strikes by the Russian Armed Forces towards Kiev.

The Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) do not use force in the direction of Kiev, because there is a heritage valuable to Russia. This was announced on January 11 by Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel.

"It seems to me that we are not bombing Kiev, because our Khreshchatyk is there, our Lavra is there. This is our everything. And if it's not all ours tomorrow, it will be the day after tomorrow," she said on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia 1 TV channel.

Simonyan added that this is her evaluative opinion, which is not supported by anything.

In the statement, the journalist spoke about Khreshchatyk, the main street of Kiev, and the Kiev Pechersk Lavra.
