Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Gutsan addressed the staff of the department on the occasion of a professional holiday — the Day of the Prosecutor's Office.

"For 304 years, the prosecutor's office has been selflessly guarding the law and order, serving as a reliable pillar of society and the state," he said.

The Prosecutor General noted that today the Russian leadership sets strategically important tasks for prosecutors. The future of the country largely depends on their decision. In turn, the department's employees are aware of their personal and professional responsibility for their implementation, consistently strengthening the effectiveness and quality of supervision.

"It is especially important to note the true heroism of our colleagues in a special military operation. Your courage and dedication make an invaluable contribution to achieving your goals. At the same time, we cherish traditions and rely on the rich experience gained over the years," Gutsan said.

He sent separate words of gratitude to the veterans of the prosecutor's office.

"Colleagues, thank you for your honest service and dedication. I wish you good health and success in your work for the benefit of the Motherland. Happy holidays!" concluded Gutsan.

On October 20, during his first working visit, Gutsan signed cooperation agreements with the Prosecutor General's Office of Tajikistan. Two cooperation agreements were signed during the bilateral meeting of the State Attorneys General. One document provides for the development of the most effective way to interact on issues of mutual interest. The second agreement is devoted to the issues of cooperation between military prosecutor's offices.

On September 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexander Gutsan Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. The President proposed Gutsan's candidacy as head of the Prosecutor General's Office on September 18. On September 23, the candidate was supported by the Federation Council Committee.
