The Cuban Foreign Minister pointed to the country's absolute right to import fuel.
Cuba has the absolute right to import fuel from those markets that are ready to export it. This was announced on January 11 by the head of the republic's Foreign Ministry, Bruno Rodriguez.
"Like any other country, Cuba has the absolute right to import fuel from those markets that are ready to export it and that exercise their right to develop trade relations without interference or subjugation to unilateral coercive measures by the United States," Rodriguez wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
He also noted that Cuba does not engage in blackmail and military intervention in the affairs of other countries, "unlike the United States." In addition, the diplomat stressed that the behavior of the United States threatens the security of not only the hemisphere, but also the entire world, and justice is on the side of Cuba.
