A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Dnepr group of troops liberated the village of Belogorye in the Zaporizhia region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 75 militants, an infantry fighting vehicle, 21 vehicles, an artillery piece, a multiple launch rocket system and two ammunition depots.

In addition, the North group of troops improved the tactical situation and defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of Kondratovka, Miropole and Andreevka, Sumy region, Staritsa and Maryino, Kharkiv region. The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. Two attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades in the Kharkiv region were repelled in the Kupyansk direction.

"Unable to break into the city of Kupyansk, <...> the Ukrainian Armed Forces made an unsuccessful attempt to install the Ukrainian flag on the city administration building using an unmanned aerial vehicle to indicate their alleged presence in the city. The flag and the unmanned aerial vehicle were destroyed. The enemy's losses in the area of responsibility of the Zapad group of forces amounted to 200 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated an enterprise of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, energy and transport infrastructure facilities involved in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 149 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down two guided aerial bombs and 130 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 108,406 UAVs, 645 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,057 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,638 multiple rocket launchers, 32,498 field artillery and mortars, 51,456 pieces of special vehicles.
