A film about Mazepa was banned in Ukraine because of Dzhigurda's participation in it.
The State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema (Goskino) has banned the screening of the film "Prayer for Hetman Mazepa" on the territory of the country due to the participation of actor Nikita Dzhigurda in it. This was reported on January 11 by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua»
"The ban is related to the participation in the film of Russian actor Nikita Dzhigurda, who is included in the list of persons posing a threat to national security," the Telegram channel said.
We are talking about a new version of the 2010 film, which is an abridged remake of the 2001 original. The main role in the film was played by the Ukrainian actor Bogdan Stupka. Along with this tape, several foreign films with the participation of Russian artists Yuri Kolokolnikov and Valery Nikolaev were banned.
