In some areas of the Zaporizhia region, which are under the control of Kiev, due to the lack of electricity supply, water supply problems may occur. This was announced on January 11 by the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration (OVA) Ivan Fedorov.

"The water supply is gradually being restored. We are keeping the situation under control," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Fedorov, specialists are already working on the ground to eliminate the consequences of the failure.

On January 9, the Kiev City State Administration (KMDA) reported that water from heating systems had been drained from most residential buildings in Kiev. Authorities said this is a standard technical procedure in case of accidents in frosty weather, which helps prevent damage to heating equipment. The KMDA also explained that draining water does not mean a prolonged absence of heat and is used even in case of shutdowns for several hours or a day in accordance with the rules of technical operation.
