Over the past day, 1,529 flights were serviced at the capital's airports in difficult weather conditions. This was announced on January 11 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako in his Telegram channel.

"1,529 flights were served on Saturday, January 10, by all four airports in the Moscow region. Of these, 692 flights (45%) were serviced by Sheremetyevo on arrival and departure," the message says.

Korenyako calculated that, on average, for every minute during the past 24 hours, one plane was landing or taking off at one of Moscow's airports.

"On the eve of working days for the majority of the country's citizens, Russia's transport system, including its civil aviation, continues to operate with increased workload, transporting passengers from vacations and places of meetings with relatives and friends," Korenyako said.

Earlier that day, the Sheremetyevo Airport press service reported that the airport had started operating without restrictions, and baggage was being delivered to passengers without interruptions. It was noted that the working shifts of the airport staff had been strengthened. Baggage is delivered to passengers who have left the airport at their home addresses.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
