On January 10, the Egyptian national team defeated Côte d'Ivoire in the quarterfinal match of the African Cup of Nations.

The game started at 22:00 Moscow time at the Adrar stadium in Agadir, Morocco and ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the Egyptian athletes.
