On January 10, the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office announced that it was carrying out supervisory measures in connection with the delay of flights in several regions of Russia.

"The reason is unfavorable weather conditions and the late arrival of aircraft," the agency wrote on its Telegram channel.

The prosecutor's office stressed that 17 flights were delayed in St. Petersburg, and 12 were canceled, in Kaliningrad — 20 and 23 flights, respectively. Five planes were delayed in Murmansk, and two flights were canceled. Two passenger flights were delayed in Syktyvkar. It is specified that the situation is under the personal control of Prosecutor Vladimir Vladimirovich.

On the same day, the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office began an inspection in connection with massive flight delays at airports. The ministry said it was closely monitoring the situation and monitoring the observance of passengers' rights.
