Exports of Russian petroleum products increased significantly in 2025. This was announced on January 10 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

This is how he reacted to an article by Bloomberg on January 6, which reported that exports of petroleum products from Russia increased in December 2025 to a four—month high of 2.15 million barrels per day.

"The facts matter — exports of Russian petroleum products have increased significantly. False militant narratives are harmful for decision—making," Dmitriev wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

At the end of December last year, Bloomberg reported that Russian oil exports had reached a record in the last 2.5 years, but due to delays in unloading tankers, oil reserves on them increased again, and many ships accumulated off the coast of India and China.
