On January 10, two-time Olympic champion and figure skating coach Evgeny Plushenko commented on the return of figure skater Elena Kostyleva to the Plushenko Angels Academy on his Telegram channel.

"Why did Lena Kostyleva come back and you took her back?" We don't leave our own," Plushenko said in a video message.

The fact that Kostyleva resumed working with Plushenko became known the day before. The coach noted that the athlete and the coaching staff will have a serious and long stage of joint training after the break.

On December 21 last year, Plushenko announced the end of cooperation with Kostyleva. He explained that the reason for the breakup was the interference of Kostyleva's mother, Irina, in the training process. The coach noted that he tried to adapt to this situation, but the conditions that were set became unacceptable for him. Later, on December 22, the coach announced that Kostyleva would continue to participate in his show.
