Rospotrebnadzor began providing consulting and practical assistance to passengers who faced flight delays and baggage claim problems due to the snow cyclone in Moscow. This was announced on January 10 by the press service of the department.

"If the airline refuses to satisfy the passenger's legitimate demands, Rospotrebnadzor is ready to accept the request and provide consulting and practical assistance in protecting consumer rights," the message says.

You can ask for help through the "Citizens' appeals" section on the official website of the department or by calling the toll-free telephone of the Unified Consultation Center.

Rospotrebnadzor is ready to assist in the settlement of disputes at the pre-trial level, as well as to assist in the preparation of materials for applying to the court, if necessary.

The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an inspection in connection with massive flight delays at airports. The ministry said it was closely monitoring the situation and monitoring the observance of passengers' rights.

On the same day, the Sheremetyevo press service announced the temporary closure of the airport for aircraft arrivals until 08:00 Moscow time due to bad weather. It was noted that heavy snowfall continues in the capital, which has updated the daily record for the amount of precipitation.

Representatives of the airline warned passengers about possible delays in baggage handling and delivery on some flights due to the slow operation of equipment. Later it became known about the extension of restrictions until 10:00 Moscow time, but the airport was opened around noon.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
